Star Farm Chief Executive Officer Meeting with Federal Minister for Science & Technology

Our Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Andriy Tsvykh, had the privilege of meeting Mr. Khalid Hussain Magsi, Federal Minister for Science & Technology, to discuss the future of farm animal welfare in Pakistan. He was accompanied by Mr. Pervaiz Akhtar, Director Star Farm Pakistan, and H.E. Arno Kirchhof, Minister & Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the Minister was briefed on Star Farm Pakistan’s Farm Animal Welfare Initiative, with a particular focus on transition to cage-free production in poultry sector, an important step towards aligning with global best practices.

A key area of discussion was the need for the Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) to adopt international farm animal welfare standards. Establishing these frameworks will be key to implementing progressive initiatives nationwide.

The meeting was highly constructive, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture and improving animal welfare standards in Pakistan.
